I have recently completed my degree in Computer Forensics and Security (Hons) at Bournemouth University which I graduated with a 2:1 and I am currently working at Bibby Financial Services as a Information Security Awareness Analyst. I am a very adaptable, hardworking with a friendly disposition, who can work well on my own or as part of a team.

I have been fascinated by technology since an early age, with a keen interest in why and how technology works. At my time at university and during my placement, I gained a broad understanding of cyber security and data protection from both a technical and business perspective. This has enabled me to understand the consequences to businesses, stakeholders and customers when there are data breaches or cyber-attacks, whilst also understanding the underlying technology issues that may have led to the original security breach.

This interest in data protection and security led me to develop a web application as part of my degree dissertation that helps SMEs gain a better understanding of what is required and how to achieve Cyber Essentials certification. Since completing my degree course, I have been looking further into data protection, specifically GDPR where I achieved the EU General Data Protection Regulation Foundation certificate accreditated by the IBITGQ.

I started working at the Chartered Management Institute as a Governance Risk and Compliance Analyst, where initially started working on creating their security policies in line with ISO 27001. As well as handling security questionnaires, creating a knowledge base for relevant information and assist with additional security matters.>

While my time at Advanced I acted as a Virtual Information Security Manager for clients. My main responsibility was to write the policies for EDF Renewables that are in line to ISO 27001 for the work on their ISMS.

I then worked as an Information Security Awareness Analyst at Bibby Financial Services. I was given te responsibility of creating and presenting security workshops for colleagues accross the UK as well as in Europe. In addition I took the additional responsibility of handling security incidents that are raised and assigned to the security team.

My first security role when leving university was as a Business Cyber Security Advisor at Pink Connect. My role at Pink Connect consisted of ensuring the company was compliant with GDPR and achieving PCI DSS and Cyber Essentials. In addition, I attended various business network meetings and Cyber Security seminars, as well as supporting the sales team by attending client meetings, where I helped provide security solutions. It give me the opportunity to gain more experience and exposure to the security industry and enhanced both my communication skills and technical skills.

I currently keep Tropical Fish in my spare time, having a range from Cuckoo catfish to Neon belly Goby. The tank consists of filtraion pump which keeps the water clean, an air pump to ensure the water contains plenty of oxygen and a heat to keep the tank between 23 - 24 degrees celcius.

I try and go to the gym on a regular basis to keep reasonably health, splitting the week into different days to workout different parts of the body.
